Their Story
The race of the Agrhem came into existence roughly 46000 years ago, the first of them being known under the name Huír Agresh Noh’gr. In secret this race of demonic beings was created, though the process of which was fairly slow. In total only 200 would be created before their downfall would be set in motion. Originally these beings were simple, but enormous manifestations of an energy called Xiumbar. Shapeless demons so to say. There was not a whole lot they were capable of at this point, aside from providing the demonic lords with their accumulation of energy. A specific material was forged from the energy they created, and naturally the beings were drawn to their new bodies, in which they contained themselves. These Agrhem were created in a slight different way from other demons created around the same time. They had a consciousness of their own, were unusually large, and lacked the wings seen in many demonic beings. As years passed the beings were trained more and more, becoming warriors and eventually simply destroyers of armies. Unimaginable power lay within the energy of the Agrhem, and the towering beings with cracked abdomen became feared. The red glow in plumes of black smoke was an omen of death, of annihilation.
Ten thousand years passed. The Agrhem had their own council and ranks, a separate force living among the ‘lower’ demons. Due to their unrivaled power they became cocky, greedy, and all too confident. They realized that they were stronger together than the beings who created them and a shift in power was bound to happen. A bloody war broke out in the east of the fifth ring. Craters were blown into the distant and desolate mountains, some were pulverized. Souls which resided within the city of Dis were adsorbed and destroyed, adding only to their power and insatiable greed. For a while these raids were ignored, even if they permanently stained Dis. The pure Xiumbar which leaked from their bodies formed into large crystal formations, trapping large amounts of energy within the fragile like obsidian objects. (In the present day, these Dis shards as they are called sell for a lot of money on the black markets. As they are extremely rare, and even more dangerous.)
At a certain point however, it was time to stop the rebelling creatures. Lucifer himself called for a meeting with the other demonic lords and their most trusted, known under a different name as the seven deadly sins, and a handful of Goetic demons which had sided with him eons ago. Their combined power was overwhelming, and the demons were temporarily restrained. A pocket dimension was created, nameless, and utterly empty. The Agrhem were all locked away there. The loyalty of the demons was betrayed in this way. For they were made to destroy, and did just that. Huír especially, being the first of his kin and the wisest, felt betrayed. His hurt turned into anger, his confusion to rage. The being craved revenge. And these overwhelming emotions was what safeguarded him from the corrupting effect of the Void, Xríbahn as he had named it. After little over 11 thousand years the Agrhem were removed form existence, but the wrathful spirit of Huír lived on. As his brethren’s flames died, his grew in intensity. Their bodies crumbled to dust, and his hardened. While their minds dwindled and ceased, his became sharper and was more consumed by these emotions of confusion and hatred his kin shared. Slowly but surely he began to understand his prison. How it worked. But by that time it was too late for his brothers. All that remained of them were their memories, now floating around in Xríbahn in complete darkness.
34 thousand years had passed, and the demon’s terrifying roars shook the foundations of Lucifer’s throne once again. He had figured it out. He knew how to escape. Being forced to bind this wrathful spirit and destroy it the demonic lord sent for a vessel to be found and be brought before him, no matter what the cost. A girl was found two centuries after the deafening sound rang through Hell. A year was spend to prepare the new vessel to be able to contain it, and once it was ready the demon was sealed, forcefully ripped apart from his body, and stashed away in a human girl like a mere spirit. He swore this would not be his end. And it certainly wasn't...
