SijobuSijobu is a prominent figure in stories involving Sinderi, and one that will be mentioned and introduced often.
Sijobu is a succubus and matriarch to the Cult of the Bleeding Sun. Being a direct descendant from Lilith, one of the Lilim, she's one of the older, and more powerful succubi within the infernal realm. Straying from the traditional image of succubi Sijobu has found pleasure in being renown for her exclusive parties and events. Landing her in the favour of many higher ranked lords, and allowing her to host events for the higher court. She has her host of slaves naturally, but only those recognized by her are permitted to attend these events, and only those who've proven themselves of worth may set foot within her sanctum. Her aptitude with magic is rivaled by few which allows her long reign as matriarch. Ruling it with an iron hand. Due to her ties with the high lords Sijobu was the one tasked with watching over Sinderi and Huír. Knowing her loyalty and arcane skills would aid greatly in keeping the volatile pair under control. In relation to Sinderi she puts on a brilliant disguise as doting mother. A mask that will crack and fall off in a heartbeat should the girl work against her. Sinderi both respects and resents her with a fierce passion. Knowing full well that she's a symbol of status and tool of war, before any personal relationship. |
Moh'garMoh'gar is Sijobu's eldest son, and like the latter, an important character that may show up regularly.
This incubus is of able body and, unlike his mother, prefers brute force over politics. He inherited her aptitude with magic in part but spent most of his youth sharpening his weapons rather than his mind. Using it mostly to aid him in battle. This should not be mistaken for weakness for when he puts his energy into it, he could best many a sorcerer in the blink of an eye. The brutality with which he fights makes him an unpredictable foe, and perfect watchdog for Sinderi. In her younger years Sinderi thought of Moh'gar as a brother. A feeling that was never reciprocated. He was tasked with training the girl from the moment she was capable of holding a sword whenever she wasn't in the pits. Most that she knows stems from him. It goes without saying he didn't spare her during these times. Sessions ended bloody and often in utter defeat. As Sinderi grew stronger their relationship changed. She was more and more capable of standing her ground against the incubus with Huír's help. They both served in the Infernal Legions. Both in different positions. Now they are on neutral terms, though there is always tension to be found between the two. Moh'gar enjoys teasing the woman for her failures. Reminding her often of their difference in ranking, and thus worth. |
RakorSinderi's first sponsor during her time in the pits. Between fights the woman often visited his bar in the city of Dis. To relax, but most of all forget about the pain that the ruthless fighting instilled. Her eventual fame brought more wealth to the demon's bar but he always appeared more in favour of the woman's well being rather than the amount of money she brought him.
When her pit fights were over and she enrolled in the Legion Sinderi often visited the bar to repay the man who sponsored her for so long. Their relationship had always been pleasant and they could be considered friends. Rakor is somewhat protective of Sinderi and knowing what she was going through, as a human, didn't sit right with him. Nowadays she rarely visits due to being tasked to patrol Earth for rogue demons. |
King BelethThough you are unlikely to have an encounter with this individual, Beleth was a key figure in Sinderi's history. Being part of his legion for so long, and climbing quite far in rank, she's adopted some of his ideals. Mainly his desire to serve only those worthy of commanding him.
Her attitude was impacted greatly due to Beleth. Evolving into what is practically how we know her now. An arrogant, prideful, and hardened demon. One that will strike down who question their authority. |
ErzekierThis odd creature, more reminiscent of a sentient ghoul than anything else, tends to refer to itself in third person more than anything. It's a strange being without clear history. Erzekier owns a book store somewhere within the city of Dis which deals in tomes and grimoires.
Not much is known about this being, though it is painfully clear there's more to it than meets the eye. |
