The Agrhem
The Agrhem are a race of gargantuan demons, said to have wrought death and destruction in years long gone by.
These beasts possess seven limbs total: four arms, two legs and a tail. Their weight remains unknown, but is great enough to force them to move hunched over, often using their secondary set of arms as support. Legend tells of mountains crumbling under their clawed hands and feet as they pass. Overall their build is rather massive and bulky, meaning they are slow to move but can deliver devastating blows. Moving like this, their shoulders reach a height of 400 feet on average.
Their hulking bodies are made up of tough and blackened husks, often named chitin. It is thickest upon their backs, chests and tail. It is estimated it to be at least 20 feet thick at these points, but it has not been confirmed or denied. Each demon has their own design of carvings upon its body. Functioning as spell circles to protect them in battle. One can identify the individual by these markings, or the arrangement of jagged horns protruding from their heads.
Despite their appearance the Agrhem possess no eyes. Instead their skulls contain three sensory pits in a familiar eye-formation. These pits, also called aura points, serve to scan their surroundings and create a 3D image of it. Aided by an uncanny ability to sense aura (hence the name) they can colour their otherwise dark world. It is likely these demons abandoned their sight in favour of protection against visual illusions. For it is much easier to go off on the magical energy, and the life force of the beings around you, than it is to rely on true sight. The Agrhem possess a double set of jaws, each lined with teeth like spears. Their heads, as stated before, are adorned with unique arrangements of jagged horns.
Most notably about these beings is their abdomen and head. Flames crown the Agrhem’s head and cascade down onto their upper back. A venting mechanism to burn off excess energy. Due to their ability to create a nigh endless supply of Xiumbar these behemoths are often seen depicted with cracked abdomen leaking a magma-like substance. When this substance is permitted to cool it becomes crystalline in form, containing the volatile energy of these behemoths within it.
